ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION, BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND FRIENDS OF HWA NAN

HWA NAN WOMEN'S COLLEGE ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION

Currently the President of the Hwa Nan Women's College Alumnae Association is Mrs. Wei Shi Huang Yeung who lives in New Jersey. The Treasurer of the Association is Mrs. Margaret Nee of Long Beach, California. Members are located all over the United States and are constantly informed of the events and progress of their alma mater, Hwa Nan Women's College. They visit the campus whenever possible and many of them help the college financially through scholarships and endowments. Through this association the Hwa Nan spirit keeps growing.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

It has taken a tremendous amount of courage and effort of both individuals and institutions to achieve the goals set forth by the original founders for Hwa Nan. Strong support comes from a dedicated Board of Trustees, whose members are located in North America, Europe, Hong Kong, and Fujian Province in China. These people are directly involved in the overall management and major decision-making process of the college.

FRIENDS OF HWA NAN

There are individuals who are strictly interested in being of professional support to Hwa Nan, giving guidance regarding current educational format, goals, and curriculum decisions. These people are highly educated and have grouped together into a Professional Support Committee.

Of special mention are the friends from the business community in Hong Kong and South-east Asia who have given generous financial support so that a computer lab, copy machines and a listening lab could be added to the Hwa Nan facility.

Among the institutions that offer on-going support in not only providing money but also arranging for the services of Foreign Teachers are the United Board for Christian Higher Education and The Amity Foundation as well as the United Nations Development Program.

"Hwa Nan Women's College would not be the prestigious three-year College that it is without the sincere interest and unselfish willingness of the FRIENDS OF HWA NAN. They have helped Hwa Nan move boldly into the 21st Century for which we are very grateful."
Quoted from the June 2000 graduation speech made by Chen Zhong Ying, President of Hwa Nan Women's College.
